Our family was at Theda Clark for 4 months total. The first month, I was in the hospital after my water broke with my twins. After alittle over 3 weeks, my son, Ayden, who's water had broke, passed away. His sister, Brielle, was born the next day. She was born June 1, 2010 at 24w2d and weighed only 1lbs 6.6oz and was 12" long. She was discharged 3 months later Sept 1. She came home on oxygen, apnea monitor, & a pulse ox monitor. 8 days later she stopped breathing. Dad did CPR on her and revived her as the first responders got there. She went back to the NICU for another 5 days. After 98 days, she finally was home to stay. Childrens Hospital gave us the gift of our daughter. My son fought the fight of his life to help get his sister to a "viable" age. All the NICU nurses and doctors helped us have hope. Thru all her sicknesses, ups and downs of the NICU roller coaster ride and her laser eye surgery, they were all there with a shoulder to cry on. They truly are miracle workers. They are part of the Peterson family now & forever.
There is no possible way that we can ever repay them. I love how your family is paying it forward thru Princess Kylees Project!
